A 3D printer is a computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) device that creates three-dimensional objects. Like a traditional printer, a 3D printer receives digital data from a computer as input. However, instead of printing the output on paper, a 3D printer builds a three-dimensional model out of a custom material. Currently the bridge has the Creative Ender 3 model for use. Website such as thingerverse which is a website that contains files of pre-designed 3-D models for users to download. There are also programs that allow patrons to turn photographs into 3-D printed photographs called
lithopanes.
