Computer Use Policies

1--All users must sign in at the front desk before using a computer.

2--All CDs, disks, and jump drives must be scanned at the front desk before use.

3--Patrons are not allowed to alter the appearance or functionality of the computers by changing the desktop, adding or deleting programs, downloading files, or engaging in any other destructive behavior.

4--The computers will be used for educational, informational, and recreational purposes only. Illegal or unethical behavior will not be permitted.

5--Users may not send, receive, or display text or graphics which may reasonably be construed as obscene.

6--Multiple users sharing one computer is not permitted.

7--A time limit of 1 hour per user will be enforced when The Bridge is at full capacity, and priority will be given to users engaging in educational or work-related activities.

8--Adults and youth shall have equal access to computers.

9--Users must respect the privacy of others by not misrepresenting themselves as another user; by not attempting to modify or gain access to files, passwords, or data belonging to others; by not seeking unauthorized access to any computer system, or damaging or altering software components of any network or database.

10--The Bridge staff will, at their discretion, make periodic inspections to make sure policies are followed.

11--Participants who violate these rules or create other disciplinary problems may be sent home and asked not to return, at the sole discretion of attending staff. We reserve the right to ask anyone to leave The Bridge at any time.
